Welcome To The New Hartford Business Council

"All Aboard for Better Business"

The New Hartford Business Council was formed in 1987 to promote the local business community through community activities. Promoting networking among our members and neighboring businesses enables us to foster a positive business environment and create opportunities for people to spend their dollars locally. We look forward to welcoming you and your business as part of the New Hartford Business Council.

Our NHBC membership has been growing substantially. The linked association between NHBC and the Canton Chamber of Commerce has brought with it greater opportunities for networking, and additional business contacts. NHBC members have been offered a reduced rate to join the Canton Chamber of Commerce.

Together we are working to advance the economic development of the business community.

The NHBC has started a new service to our members.  We will now be offering you the opportunity to post your job openings here on the NHBC website.

Please fill out the pdf form that appears below and email to events@newhartfordbusinesscouncil.org.  Please put NHBC Job Posting in the subject line.  Your job will appear for one month from the date we receive it and will then be removed.  If you need it to stay listed longer than one month it will be your responsibility to let us know so we can list it for an additional month.  If at any time you fill the position, please notify us so we can remove it, or you can just let it expire after the one month time frame.

NHBC Dues Increase

Dear Members of the New Hartford Business Council,

As in all businesses and organizations, one of our priorities is to keep costs at the lowest possible impact to all. For longer than I have been a member, the dues for joining just the Business Council has been at $75.00.

In order to maintain and raise our level of service to our members, it is necessary to raise our dues by $10.00 per year. The primary reason for the increase is due to the following expenses:  website, insurance, our events  (business after hours and monthly morning minglers), the scholarship program (with a goal of increasing that support) and advertising. Our biggest expense is maintenance of our website and a major overhaul of our insurance coverage.

Internship Program Update

Intern Program Looking Ahead To 2014 – 2015 Semesters

The New Hartford Business Council Intern Program with Northwestern Regional High School is well into its first session and has proved to be a tremendous success. An “update” meeting was recently held, and all the businesses and Northwestern Regional students involved expressed positive thoughts about the program. This year the program will conclude at the end of April.

Monthly Morning Mingler

A new year, a new routine! Join the New Hartford Business Council every 4th Thursday of the month from 8:00AM - 9:00AM for a morning mingler. Start off your day with coffee and delicious refreshments, hosted by Mary Ann Gunning of Chapin Park Bed and Breakfast. Any questions, please contact Cameron at cunningham.cjc@gmail.com.

For November and December, the Morning Minglers will be on the THIRD THURSDAY - to account for Thanksgiving and Christmas!
